Artist’s Statement: I chose to
illustrate butterfly koi fish
because I saw lots of style
variation possibilities when I
looked at pictures of them from extreme stylization to high detail graphic renderings. I loved this exhausting project. Honestly, it uncovered illustration skills that I never knew I possessed and will
draw upon again.
